Category and Contracts Specialist Are you a skilled contracts professional with a passion for driving value, enhancing quality, and ensuring compliance? Join our Commercial Portfolio team as a Category and Contracts Specialist at Western Power on a full-time basis. This role offers the chance to shape supplier relationships, optimize contract outcomes, and support Western Power's mission through effective contract management.
Your Role in Action Manage contracts across services, materials, and goods, ensuring consistent application of the contract management framework. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes. Enhance supplier performance and support internal teams in extracting maximum value from contracts. Oversee data management of contract performance, governance, and compliance with internal and external policies. Support the development of supply chain strategies, enterprise risk management, and community-focused programs. What Makes You a Great Fit Degree in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance, or related discipline, or extensive experience in contract management. Strong knowledge of contract law, Australian Consumer Law, and standard contract agreements. Demonstrated ability in supplier relationship management and contract strategy execution. Proficient in negotiation, analytical thinking, and compliance management. Working knowledge of Mincom Ellipse and Ariba systems.
