About You Possess good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work autonomously and in a team environment.Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awarenessBe able to demonstrate good judgement and ensure young people are treated fairly and with dignityAbout the role Provide direct supervision and care to young people from diverse and challenging backgrounds who are temporarily being held in custody in the police cells at Broken Hill Police StationEscort young people in their trips to court and/or Youth Justice Centres and gather information to share with the relevant authoritiesOn-call casual work, ideal as a second jobAn Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a visa that allows you work in Australia with unlimited working rights.Possession of a minimum Provisional 2 NSW Driver's licence.Possession or willingness to obtain the 'Provide First Aid Certificate' (HLTAID011).NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.Availability to complete 5 full days of (paid) training to prepare you for the roleNational Background Police CheckMedical and Fitness AssessmentBe willing and available to undertake casual work on an on call basis working over 24 hoursHow to apply For your application to be considered, you must:
