We are currently inviting applications for an enthusiastic Tuckshop Assistant to support our busy tuckshop.
The role will include assisting the Tuckshop Supervisor in all the functions of the Tuckshop to ensure the provision of high quality, freshly prepared food and drinks whilst providing a high level of customer service in the School's tuckshop.
This includes, but is not limited to, being responsible for the planning of menus, purchase and ordering of food and supplies and ensuring compliance to food safety and equipment maintenance standards.
The Tuckshop Assistant will report to the Principal and is supervised by the Tuckshop Supervisor and will meet regularly to discuss all matters regarding affecting the running of Tuckshop.
This may include advice concerning the menu, new products, price changes, equipment maintenance or upgrade requirements.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS Maintain high standards of service.
Order goods from suppliers in accordance with the requirements set out by the school To be aware of and comply with regulations and expectations for health and safety at all times.
To be aware of and comply with the annual budget for Tuckshop.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA This position relies heavily on teamwork, effective communication and a knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
The successful applicant is required to: Undergo Mandatory Student Protection training.
Hold a current Blue Card.
Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Have the ability to manage and lead staff and volunteers in a professional and positive manner.
Possess excellent organizational skills, initiative and enthusiasm.
To uphold the staff Code of Conduct at all times.
