From Temporary Care to Group Care, Community Foster Care, and Individual High Needs Care, we tailor our services to meet the unique and often complex needs of those we support. Our specialist care ensures every young person has a stable and secure home where they can grow and thrive.
Make a Difference Every Day We're on the lookout for passionate Therapeutic Youth Workers ready to step up as short-term Therapeutic Live-in Carers across Western Australia. This exciting role takes you to different parts of the state, filling in for regular carers while creating meaningful connections with the young people you support. You can be based anywhere, but we're especially interested in candidates located in Perth, the Great Southern, Pilbara, and the Kimberley regions.
Why do we need short-term Therapeutic Live-in Carers?
To cover planned or unplanned leave for regular carers To support new young people entering care or high-demand placements When a young person requires medical trips or hospital care When a young person needs a circuit breaker, a return-to-country trip, or a holiday What You'll Do Every day brings something new! As a Therapeutic Live-in Carer, you'll take on responsibilities that range from managing household duties to providing emotional and developmental support. Here's what your day-to-day could look like:
Manage daily household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry Create a safe and nurturing environment where young people can flourish Support the child's Individual Care Plan, which focuses on their health, education, relationships, and emotional well-being Encourage cultural or religious connections, including return-to-country trips Work closely with schools to ensure educational engagement Join in recreational activities like fishing, crafts, and outdoor adventures! What We're Looking For To shine in this role, you'll need:
A love for travel (flights covered!) Experience working with young people, particularly in therapeutic environments Willingness to work a week-on, week-off roster with sleepover shifts A valid driver's license and resilience to handle the unique challenges of the job Relevant qualifications or experience in child and youth care A positive, empathetic attitude and passion for making a difference Why Join Lifestyle Solutions?
