Classification: Casual Sessional Academic Salary package: As per Casual Sessional Academic salary rates Term: Casual, commencing 2025 Position Overview: The School of Politics and International Relations (SPIR) is seeking casual sessional academics (tutors) for 2025.
Individuals with experience and expertise in the field of Political Science who are interested in teaching undergraduate courses are encouraged to apply.
As a casual sessional academic, you will be involved in the delivery of SPIR courses with support, guidance and direction from the Course Convenor.
Generally, the primary responsibility is leading tutorials but may also entail other activities planned by the Course Convenor.
Other responsibilities may include holding student consultations, responding to student enquiries, and marking assessments.
A tutor shall have qualification and/or experiences recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
These include past teaching experience, high achievement in coursework, and employment in related topics to the courses offered by the school.
