CASUAL SANCTUARY CLEANER  About the Sanctuary: Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary opened in 1927 as a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas. Today, Lone Pine remains a much loved and iconic destination for local and international guests to not only see native Australian animals, but to also connect and learn.  Our goal is that everyone leaves the sanctuary feeling inspired to make small, positive changes in their daily lives to help protect their own native wildlife and habitats.
Through collaboration with our 100+ employees, suppliers and customers, we aim to set a new standard in environmental wildlife management. This will contribute to building a stronger Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

About the Position: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our sanctuary Cleaning Service team on a casual basis for up to 38 hours per week.  We would like to welcome someone who is enthusiastic about coming to work everyday and it is crucial that our new team member will take genuine pride in their role and duties.  
The cleaning team are fundamental to the ongoing success and appearance of Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and they are key to helping our visitors experience a pleasant and enjoyable day.  
This joint position reports directly to the Wildlife Admin Manager. 
The sanctuary is open 7 days a week, therefore it is crucial that our cleaning team members are available every day, including weekends and public holidays. We create rotational rosters to ensure fairness in the cleaning team.
Experience in the Tourism sector would be beneficial, however not essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will: Happily engage and positively interact with our sanctuary visitorsTake pride in the appearance of the sanctuary environmentHave high attention to detail and take initiativeAbility to multitask and keep up with a fast-paced environmentWork well both as part of a team and autonomouslyThink on their feet and enjoy a challengeBe in great physical health and have great staminaExperience using and understanding chemicalsAdhere to and comply with to safety standardsWell-developed organisational and time management skillsHold a valid, open driver's licenseHave a positive 'can do' attitudeCleaning Role Responsibilities: Cleaning and maintenance of toilet facilities throughout parkCleaning and maintenance of multiple office and staff buildings Emptying and cleaning of rubbish bins throughout parkPark grounds tidying and presentationGeneral cleaning and maintenance of common areas around parkMaintaining all equipment in working orderEnsuring that stock at all areas is at appropriate levels everydayAdvising appropriate person if stock is lowReporting any damage to any fixtures or equipment immediatelyBeing punctualAdhering to and understanding all SOP's relevant to your roleAdhering to the Code of Conduct, Policies and ProceduresAny other duties that may be required from time to timeBeing punctualAdhering to the CATER Core Values, Code of Conduct, Policies and ProceduresEnsuring that all equipment used during shift is kept in good working orderThe successful applicant will of course have open access our beautiful sanctuary and be able to enjoy our Team Member benefits.
