Sales Assistant – Pet Shop (Gold Coast) Position: Senior Casual, 20-30 hours per week (weekdays & weekends)

About the Role: As a Sales Assistant at Bernie's Pet Barn, your role will involve:
Assisting customers to find the best products for their pets, from choosing durable toys for energetic Staffies to fitting the perfect harness for a wriggly Oodle.Advising pet parents on a wide range of products, including comparing and advising on dog food ingredients or introducing young enthusiasts to bird ownership.Keeping the store well-stocked, clean, and organized.Feeding, cleaning, and caring for our in-store birds, fish, reptiles and small animals.Helping customers with large purchases, carrying items up to 20kg to their cars.Handling aquarium maintenance, including catching exotic fish for customers.About You: We're seeking someone who:
Has previous experience in a sales position. (1yr +).Is a genuine pet lover with broad knowledge of domestic animals. Dog handling experience, (ideal but not essential).Can work independently and is physically fit.Possesses excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.Availability over a 7day Roster.Please Note: This role is best suited to a senior casual worker (not school students), with flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends.
