Opportunity to work at Fitzroy site as well.Casual nocturnal shifts at St George's Health Service and day shifts at the Fitzroy site.About the RoleSt Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a number of passionate and experienced registered nurses to join the Nurse Workforce Unit's Casual Nurse Bank team (Dialysis Stream).
Shifts are available based on supplementary staffing demand, but will mostly be required on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, nocturnal shifts, at St George's Health service.
You will be responsible for the delivery of expert nursing care and support to patients undergoing dialysis in an outpatient setting.
When necessary, you will also be able to pick up shifts at the Fitzroy Dialysis Unit for AMs and PMs.Working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality care.
You will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely within a friendly and supportive team environment.You will also:Manage the physical and emotional well-being of patients.Administer medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies.Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit.Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress.Your ContributionAs an experienced, motivated and passionate dialysis nurse, you will bring demonstrated knowledge and commitment to a patient-centred care framework.
