Position Summary This position is responsible for reviewing and facilitating the maintenance of the validated Quality Control Laboratory and associated laboratory preparation tasks and administrative tasks. This position is an advocate for continuous improvement and drives processes that ensure the suitability, effective implementation, monitoring (for effectiveness) and maintenance of a compliant quality management system at Cann. Further, this role supports ongoing compliance to GxP, GACP and controlled drug substance requirements - to Australian standards and all other applicable legislation and health authority requirements.

As a Quality Control Technician (Casual), you will:
Assist the Senior Microbiologist and Senior Analytical Chemist with day-to-day tasks to ensure the Quality Control Laboratory maintains compliance to the validated and regulatory state. Assist with routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, environmental sampling and ensure the laboratory equipment is cleaned as part of the day-to-day business. Record and organise data from laboratory tests and procedures as required. Prepare and label samples for analysis. Support the maintenance and calibration of QC laboratory equipment. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols in the laboratory ensuring your training records are accurate. About You Qualifications / Licences Secondary/Tertiary qualifications in science or related disciplines (Desirable). Current Driver's Licence (Australian). Police clearance (Commonwealth) and pre-employment security and health checks. Skills / Competencies Eager to gain practical experience in a quality control laboratory setting. Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and basic validation principles (Desirable). Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. Excellent at problem-solving and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to perform with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and business ethics. Strong communication/facilitation skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and organization skills.
