Job DescriptionAbout the opportunity
We have an opening for a Casual Practice Nurse to join our Medical Practice teams at Belmont Hub or South Barwon Medical Clinic.
Our practices are committed to personalised, holistic healthcare to support our patients and community in their health journey with a focus on preventative care. Our Health Hubs are the latest step in GMHBA's journey to support and empower our communities to live healthier lives. Hubs offer members, patients and customers access to modern facilities and quality care to conveniently support growing Geelong demand.
Belmont Hub: Co-located with Belmont Community Care Chemist, the inaugural Hub launched in 2023, offering improved access to dental, medical and physiotherapy services.South Barwon Medical Centre: Located in Belmont, has provided quality medical care to the local community for over forty years and is committed to ensuring patients are treated in a professional and caring manner. We have patient access to on-site comprehensive medical and allied health services, Pathology and Practice Nurses to assist with procedures, immunizations, chronic disease management, and home-based Health Assessments. Belmont is a thriving suburb just 10 minutes' drive from the Geelong CBD and a direct 45-minute commute from Melbourne's West with easy access to the stunning beaches of the Surf Coast, the urban heart of Geelong, and a wide range of excellent educational facilities and accommodation options.The role will support our practice teams and also to our Women's clinic at Belmont Hub. You will provide excellence in patient care and customer service and will contribute to the enhancement and quality of the integrated health care delivery through the provision of nursing services in the context of general practice.
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving health outcomes for the members of the practice community by providing high quality primary health care, and promoting healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.
Working in a supportive team environment where continuous learning and collaboration are valued, you will work with the team and contribute to superior patient care. You will be flexible to step in and assist as required to ensure an excellent patient experience.
Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you With your focus on patient care and quality service, you will provide clinical nursing services to a high standard. You will be a collaborative and professional team member, with strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
You are committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic. You are a true team player, who contributes positively to our team to deliver an exceptional level of customer service to our patient base. You will hold current Nursing registration, minimum Division 1, and must hold and maintain current AHPRA registration.
