Casual - Major Event Kitchen Attendant

We have an exciting opportunity to join our event catering team for Melbourne Cup Carnival 2024. The role is based at our production kitchen in Hawthorn (Melbourne), working casual shifts, 5/7 day roster. You will need to be available to work from 30 September - 10 November 2024 (including weekends and Public Holidays).As part of our kitchen team, your duties will include:Basic and varied kitchen duties and general cleaning.Ensuring food preparation areas, dish washing areas, food storage areas, and waste disposal areas are clean, organised, and hygienic, following SOPs.To succeed in this role, we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:EssentialExperience in a similar role in a restaurant or functions venue will be highly regarded but not essential.Food Safety Handling and understanding of safe food handling.A team player, with the ability to adapt and change in a growing business environment, and support others to achieve individual and business targets.Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment.Good verbal and written communication skills.Understanding and knowledge of safe working processes and practices.At Cirka, we know our team is our greatest asset, and we pride ourselves on having quality people in all areas of the business.
