Position: Casual Lecturer – Multiple Fields
Location: Sydney
The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a US-based non-profit organization, is seeking casual lecturing staff to deliver academic courses at its newly reopened centre in Sydney. More information on this innovative organization can be found at https://www.ciee.org/
Students will be undergraduates from universities in the United States. Courses will be taught in person at our CBD centre in Sydney. Some courses might be delivered in a hybrid mode from CIEE Sydney and include students from other CIEE centres located in Asia.
Courses and dates for January Intensive Program - Each course is delivered on an intensive schedule in a three (3) week block. The total contract is for 45 hours of in-person classes delivered in Sydney.
January 2 to January 22, 2025 Nature Photography, Social Media, and Environmental EngagementCourses and dates for Open Campus Block - Each course is delivered in a six (6) week block. The usual class schedule includes Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 2.5 hours per day—a total contract of 45 hours of in-person classes delivered in Sydney.
January 9 to February 13, 2025 Beer – The Business of BrewingCross-Cultural PsychologyFirst Nations and Post-Colonial GovernanceFebruary 20 to March 27, 2025 Digital Marketing & E-Commerce What you bring to CIEE: A Master's Degree is mandatory, and a PhD is preferable.Passion for education and an appreciation of education as an instrument to connect cultures. Teaching experience in the relevant area with proven positive student outcomes and experience. Industry experience in the relevant area where applicable. Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or professional publications in the relevant area (desirable but not essential).
