Suncare Home and Garden Maintenance Worker - what's involved in the role? We are currently seeking a Casual Home and Garden Maintenance Worker to actively support the individual needs of our aged customers who are living at home, either independently or with family.
You will travel to our Sunshine Coast customers' homes to deliver general home and garden maintenance services. Some of your duties include but are not limited to: lawn mowing and hedge trimming, minor home repairs, water blasting, cleaning of gutters, changing light globes, cleaning air conditioning filters, cleaning windows and other duties and assistance in and around the house and garden.
You may be rostered between 7am-4.30pm Monday to Friday, depending on your availability and our operational requirements.
About you: The successful candidate will have relevant and recent experience working in a home and garden or maintenance role, preferably in an aged care environment, although not essential. You will demonstrate excellent communication and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
We want our customers to have a great experience with our people, and our people need to have a great attitude, be friendly, willing to learn new things, and most importantly listen and understand what the customer wants.
You are required to be physically fit and have a valid QLD Driver's licence and a First Aid and CPR certificate. You will also have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
For some positions, you may be required to use your own suitable vehicle (van, ute with lockable canopy, or vehicle & trailer) to travel to customers and transport equipment in. You will be provided with Suncare maintenance equipment to complete these tasks and hence will be required to have an enclosed or lockable vehicle for safe storage of the equipment.
