Casual ELICOS Teacher Mount Lawley, Perth, Australia Edith Cowan College is responsible for preparing ELICOS students for entry into Edith Cowan College and Edith Cowan University programs by delivering a quality learning and teaching experience.
Academic English teachers manage the delivery of learning and teaching and ensure all Academic English programs are compliant with the National ELICOS Standards and reflective of industry best practice.
Excellent planning, management, delivery and assessment skills are required for this position.
Prepare engaging Academic English lessons for learning. Complete all associated administration in relation to learning and teaching. Teach within the full range of Academic English courses and Study Abroad courses at Edith Cowan College. Assess students according to the requirements as set out in the Edith Cowan College curriculum. Develop and review teaching and assessment materials. Identify students at risk and report according to Edith Cowan College policy. Employ educational technology in the classroom. Maintain current industry practice. Participate in and contribute to professional development. Maintain quality standards as per Edith Cowan College policies and procedures and in line with the ELICOS Standards 2018 and TEQSA accreditation. About us: Edith Cowan College (ECC) is an Australian tertiary education and English language provider and is accredited by the government under the Higher Education Act 2004 to provide a range of higher education courses.
ECC specialises in providing alternative pathways to ECU for students who may not qualify for direct entry into a degree program.
