Be Part of Something Bigger: The RoleAs a Disability Support Worker, you'll be instrumental in providing high-quality, person-centered care to our clients across various settings, from their homes to community engagement activities. Working closely with the Client Liaison Officer, you'll assist clients with their daily living needs, support community participation, and contribute toward their personal and NDIS goals. Your role is vital in fostering autonomy and a fulfilling lifestyle for those we support.
Your Key Responsibilities:Build Strong Relationships: Be the first point of contact for clients and families, fostering trust and positive interactions.Deliver Quality Services: Assist in day-to-day tasks, ensuring clients achieve their personal and NDIS plan goals.Support Compliance & Documentation: Complete accurate documentation and progress notes to align with Breakaway standards.Engage in Community Participation: Provide clients with opportunities to engage in social and community activities.Manage Risk and Behaviour Support: Follow positive behaviour support plans and manage risks as required.What You Bring to the Table:Compassion and Resilience: A caring attitude with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and teams.Disability Support Experience: Prior experience in disability or community services is a must and mental health experience is highly regarded.Strong Communication & Organisational Skills: Ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders and manage time efficiently.Qualifications & Experience:Essential: Current Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, and Driver's Licence.Preferred: Certificate III or IV in Disability or Mental Health or related field; experience in mental health or complex behaviours support is highly regarded.Skills: Proficiency in basic administrative tasks and intermediate computer skills.What Sets Us Apart:Competitive Pay & Benefits: Enjoy a salary packaging option and corporate health discounts.Growth & Development: Access to training and career development to support your personal and professional growth.Work-Life Balance: We prioritise employee well-being with an Employee Assistance Program.Ready to Make a Difference?Submit your application, including a cover letter addressing the role and qualifications, along with your resume and two supervisory referees.
