Seeking a passionate casual Debating Coach An exciting opportunity to work with a team committed to making a difference in the lives of students.
About the Role Canberra Grammar School is seeking a casual Debating Coach to join the CGS team.
The role of a Debating Coach is to instruct students on fundamental debating skills and foster development within a fun, inclusive and safe environment.
In this role you will provide guidance to students about preparing debates, critical thinking, researching current topic areas, public speaking and presentation skills.
About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following: Engaging and enthusiastic coaching style with effective communication skills Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of abilities across various age groups Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective training sessions Experience in debating and/or public speaking (including high school public speaking or debating competitions) A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card Two professional references All team members at CGS are required to have: Appropriate qualifications A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card A current National Police Check; and Full working rights within Australia.
