We are looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join our team at our soon-to-be-relaunched boutique hotel property located at 62 Byng Street, Orange.
This is your chance to be part of the foundation team as the hotel reopens on Monday 2 December, 2024.
The Commis Chef will assist in the preparation of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to learn from experienced chefs.
Key Responsibilities Operational Assist in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, and seasoning meats.
Perform basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs, such as grilling, frying, and baking.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Help with receiving deliveries, organising stock, and taking inventory.
Rotate through different kitchen stations to gain experience and learn various cooking techniques.
Assist in plating and presenting dishes according to the chef's instructions.
Guests In collaboration with General Manager and Team Members, implement strategies to enhance guest service standards which meet/exceed the expectations of guests.

Complete to the best of your ability any additional tasks within reason as provided by your immediate manager or delegate.
Participate/engage in industry events and maintain relevant market knowledge.
