Merivale has changed the face of stadium food to deliver a fresh and exciting hospitality experience to Sydney's key stadiums – the SCG and Allianz Stadium (SFS). Across both stadiums, we host some of Sydney's biggest events including major sporting events and concerts performed by leading international artists. For this, we have pulled together an army of top Merivale talent, including executive chefs Jordan Toft, Dan Hong, Mike Eggert, Ben Greeno and Vincenzo Biondini. The Role We are on the lookout for exceptional Demi Chefs, Chef de Parties, and Junior Sous Chefs to join our Stadium kitchen team on a casual basis. You will be working in the retail spaces across both the SCG and Allianz Stadium. These spaces feature Merivale favourites such as Jimmy's Falafel wraps, El Loco tacos, Ms.G's noodles and dumplings and more in a grab and go setting so having experience with fast-paced service is essential. Working in the outlets will give you the flexibility to move around and work with variety.
To be successful in one of these roles you must:
Have at least 1-year experience working in a similar role in a commercial kitchen.Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.Can lead a kiosk or section and train junior chefs.Ability to work in a large team and follow directions well.Be organised, efficient and a good communicator.Have knowledge of different cuisines and techniques which is desirable but not essential.
