We are currently seeking aChef to join our small close-knit team at RAAF Base East Sale .
This is a permanent full-time position working across a rotating roster giving you flexibility to manage work life balance.
As a Chef, you will work closely with the lead Chefs to ensure the smooth operation of a high volume, fast paced kitchen.Our team service 4 bars & 4 Mess halls, serving between 15,000 - 20,000 meals per month, over breakfast, lunch & dinner as well special events.
Your previous hospitality experience, strong work ethic and willingness to learn will hold you in good stead. This is a hands-on role where you will be required to work in the kitchen as well as undertaking administrative duties.
Duties:
Ensure efficient preparation and delivery of meal services Operate large-volume commercial cooking equipment Train food production personnel in Ventia's procedures Food Preparation and quality control Maintain a clean & sanitised kitchen Skills & Experience
Commercial Cookery Certificate III, or above Previous experience in a large commercial kitchen & fast paced environment Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations Strong planning and organisation skills What We Offer You:
