An opportunity exists for a Factory Hand to become part of our team; Australia's largest co-product stockfeed team.
Our production site at Ballarat is seeking an enthusiastic Factory Hand to join us. Prior experience in plant operations is not essential, as you will be trained across all aspects of the business operation. This position is responsible for operating equipment required for the manufacture of stockfeed.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, eager to learn and grow, self-motivated, a team player, and can work unsupervised. A strong focus on workplace health and safety is essential. Working in a fast-paced environment, you should be technically minded and have a clear focus on multiple tasks. A level of mechanical and maintenance experience is also necessary.
The candidate will be responsible for and value:
Conducting and documenting all pre-operations start-up procedures and/or standard operating procedures correctly and promptly. Preparing and producing orders efficiently, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner to meet customer delivery times. Maintaining accurate daily production records and equipment operating settings, including recording times and tonnes produced, downtime, waste, rework, and equipment issues to the Shed Supervisor or Assistant. Following proper and effective handovers at the end of the shift. Operating in a team environment. Maintaining a clean working environment. Following correct Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental directions. Equipment care and responsibility. Achievement of prescribed operating instructions, production, and any set tasks. Correct documentation of QA/QC requirements for all facets of the production process. Working for a leading stockfeed business. Immediate start. Future growth opportunities. Job Requirements:
Strong awareness and commitment to safety. Forklift licence (required). Loader/Telehandler experience (desirable). Mechanically minded. Must be willing to undergo a Police check and Pre-Employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol check.
