As the Foster Care caseworker, you will ensure the provision of crucial assessment and casework services to children, carers and their families across Sydney.

This role will involve; Providing safe, stable and suitable placements for children and young people within the Permanency Principles Manage a caseload of up to 10 Assist children in care to access supports and services which will strengthen placements and support carers and birth families Ensure case reviews are conducted as per the requirements and address all needs to ensure OCG standards are met Collaborate with care teams to assess referrals and discuss the matching of children with Carer Recruitment Officer and Program Manager, to determine appropriate placements They are looking for candidates with casework experience with vulnerable children and families The requirements for this role include; Aboriginality Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or related field Experience in Foster Care or Child Protection programs Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise written material Understanding of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 NSW Driver's License and Working with Children Check Ability to participate in a rotating on-call roster (remunerated) This position is Aboriginal identified.
