This is a full-time contract opportunity for 12 months. 35 hours per week, located in Allman Street Campbelltown NSW. Starting base annual salary $91,297 to $96,882 negotiable based on experience, plus super, plus access to generous salary packaging options.

About the opportunity:
Family Preservation is a voluntary, targeted program designed to support families facing challenges that affect their ability to care for their children. Our program offers essential services to help families overcome difficulties, recognising that early intervention builds resilience, fosters healthy child development, and reduces risk of harm.
Uniting is seeking a dedicated case worker to join our Family Preservation team in Allman Street Campbelltown NSW. In this role, you will assess referrals, coordinate therapeutic family support, and assist parents and children in creating a safe, nurturing home environment. Your work will directly impact families, guiding them toward stability and growth.
Conduct intake and assessments for families entering the program.
Provide home visits and assist families in achieving their goals through advocacy, life skills training, child development support, parenting education, routines, and budgeting.
Deliver evidence-based parenting programs.
Help families build social connections within their local communities.
Provide culturally sensitive and strengths-based support to families in all aspects of service delivery.
Your Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with at least two years of experience working with at-risk children and families.
Strong skills in risk assessment, case management, and building trust with families in crisis.
A strong understanding of early intervention principles and child protection issues.
Experience working with diverse groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse families.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess needs, strengths, and potential risks.
Competent with all Microsoft applications as well as client systems.
Current NSW WWCC and current NSW Driver's License.
