Are you passionate about supporting women to recover and heal from domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV)? Our client is seeking a dedicated Client Support Team Leader to provide specialist case management and lead a dynamic team at our Centre.
About the Role:
As the Client Support Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering and managing trauma-informed care for victim-survivors of DFSV. You will lead the client support team, oversee service implementation, provide direct client support, and manage operational processes. This position requires a hands-on approach, combining leadership, mentoring, and direct service delivery to empower and support women in our community.
Essential Criteria:
To be considered for the position, candidates must demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, or a related field.A proven track record in providing case management to women experiencing DFSV, including risk assessment, safety planning, and advocacy.Experience managing clients with complex social and legal needs, including court advocacy and referrals.Leadership and Team Management:Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a community-based team, including:Operational planning (rostering, workload management).Staff mentoring, training, and performance management.Experience in developing and implementing client monitoring and evaluation frameworks.Skills and Competencies:Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and diverse workplaces.In-depth understanding and application of trauma-informed and violence-informed care frameworks.Commitment to feminist principles and promoting social justice for women.Cultural competency, including the ability to work with diverse communities.Sound knowledge of the domestic, family, and sexual violence sector, including:Current legislation and practices.Available social and legal support services.Experience supporting women experiencing intersecting challenges such as:Child abuse.Alcohol and other drug use.Mental health concerns (e.g., depression, grief, and intergenerational trauma).Desirable Criteria: The following attributes will be highly regarded:Training or experience in somatic-based therapeutic interventions, such as body-oriented therapies for trauma recovery.Lived experience or extensive work experience.Join Us:
