Respect, Excellence, Celebration, Compassion, Acceptance, ProfessionalismJoin an organisation that makes a real difference within the community.About CentrecareCentrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with just over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth metropolitan, Goldfields and South West regions.The RoleThe Case Worker role is both challenging and rewarding, working with the local prison community both prior and post release to:Visit your clients whilst they are incarcerated.Facilitate and run group sessions in a prison environment.Support client home visits in the local Kalgoorlie area.Take the clients, on release, back to their home community, which could be up to 1500km away.A Few SpecificsProvide a high-quality re-entry service for clients exiting prisons.Ensure the objectives and outcomes of Re-Entry funded programs are achieved.Provide support to the Program Manager and Team Leader to plan, implement, evaluate and co-ordinate Re-entry services, including group education and information sessions.Provide quality outreach services to clients and their families across the Goldfields region. This might include organisations of and participation community events and specific targeted group work in the community.Participate in case management of clients with internal and external agencies.Provide referral service to clients.Selection CriteriaRecognised tertiary level qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling, Health and/or related disciplines or recognised work experience in the relevant field.Capacity to work within an Outreach model of service delivery.Highly experienced in working positively with Aboriginal individuals, families and their communities, especially in remote locations of WA.Experience in casework and supporting access to social and other services.Ability to be an effective member of a team or to work autonomously.National Police Clearance.Driver's licence.BenefitsAccess to corporate health cover provided for by Bupa and Medibank Private.Salary packaging options (up to $15,900).Annual leave loading at 17.5%.Additional 5 days leave per year.Comprehensive training and development to encourage staff growth and development.Insurance cover to and from work.Employee Assistance Program.Reduced mortgage interest rates through Catholic Super.How to ApplyClick apply and you will be directed to our online job board to view further details on the vacancy description and complete your application.
