About the Position: The Waalitj Foundation has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on position as Case Worker to join our Regional Goldfields team, based in Leonora. This is a fulltime, fixed term position until June 2025 with the potential for extension. Part-time/flexible hours will be considered for the right candidate.
The Community Development Program (CDP) is a remote employment and community development service. CDP supports job seekers in remote Australia to build skills, address barriers and contribute to their communities through a range of flexible activities.

Skills and Experience: Develop individual Job Plans in consultation with participants that link with support services and address barriers to employment.Initial and ongoing contact appointments with participants to review their progress and determine what assistance they require to access employment opportunities.Refer to internal and external job vacancies, activities and any other relevant support services.Support participants with obtaining paid employment and conduct appropriate post placement support to enhance sustainability of employment.Undertake and participate in community engagement activities and events in the region.To be successful in this role: Experience with working and building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait people.Experience living and working within a remote community.Well-developed planning, time management and organisational skills.Excellent relationship building skills including the ability to motivate and build rapport with others.Have a passion for community development and/or helping vulnerable people.Ability to work within a small team and independently.High level communication skills, both verbal and written.What We Offer You: 9 day fortnight (if fulltime).Internal Scholarships and Staff Giving Program.Training and professional development opportunities.A friendly and supportive work environment.Additional requirements include holding or the ability to obtain:
