As a Case Worker you will:
Oversee recruitment, training and assessment of carers Undertake comprehensive assessments of children referred to the program and shortlist placements for children Offer relinquishment counselling support to birth parents in the infant adoption program Provide information and counselling to adopted people and their families in relation to past adoptions Provide pre and post-legal supervision and support to children, their carers and birth families Benefits of working at Uniting Our work isn't easy, but it matters. Your skills and experience You will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a degree qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership of A.A.S.W, or equivalent Psychology or a related discipline.
You will also have:
Demonstrated case management and counselling experience within the child and family welfare sector, particularly in out of home care, child protection or adoption services Proven competence in child and carer assessments and supporting placement processes for children in out of home care An understanding of the Best Interests Framework, Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and Adoption Act 1984 Excellent written skills with the ability to maintain case notes and prepare reports in a timely manner Strong interpersonal and communication skills How to apply Click APPLY to submit your interest.
