Case Manager|Navigator

The Navigator Program is an intensive, targeted education support service where Case Managers work in collaboration with schools, young people, families, and external stakeholders to find ways to achieve educational goals.
In 2023-24, 847 young people were supported to re-engage with their education through the Navigator program.

About the role: You will primarily be working with children who have disconnected from school.
Many of these young people have complex barriers to educational engagement and have not responded to school-based engagement interventions.
Young people may experience barriers such as mental health, disability, and neurodiversity as well as trauma.
Your role is to work with young people, their families, and support networks to address these issues underlying disengagement and help them re-engage with their education and achieve their goals.
Make your mark: Extensive case management experience, drawing from a variety of appropriate frameworks and theoretical approaches.Bring your area of expertise to a diverse team, be that mental health, disability, education, or family services.Assist disengaged learners to reconnect back into education and learning.Successfully build rapport with children and young people, who present with a range of complex challenges such as mental health, disability, neurodiversity, and trauma.Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and liaison skills.Ability to work with government and non-government organisations, community groups, and clients' families/networks.Knowledge of school environments and educational policy.Make it work: Inspiring leadership supporting individual agency and autonomy.A salary at SCHADS level 5 which equates to around $97,377 plus super.Flexible through the increments up to 5.3 dependent upon experience.Ongoing position.Site based at our office in Warrnambool with outreach across the region.We take the Health and Wellbeing of our people seriously, offering a Well Worth It!
