Who we are looking for We are looking for a Case Manager, Counsellor and Community Support professional who can deliver culturally appropriate community development services, enhance access to resources, conduct community education, and support individuals in making positive life changes to achieve improved health outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will:
Tertiary qualifications (AQF Level 7) in Social Work, Counselling, Psychotherapy, or tertiary education with significant experience in human services.Demonstrated experience in working with CALD communities specifically with communities who arrive under the humanitarian program.Experience in community engagement; community education, and cross-sector liaison.Experience in case work and case management including counselling.It would be a bonus if you:
Significant experience in working within a cross-cultural environment.Experience working in the areas of public health issues and FDV.Have a strong connection with CALD communities.What you will be doing The Case Manager/Counsellor and Community Support worker works with individuals, families, and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to improve their emotional, social, physical and mental wellbeing.
Respond to Ask PEACE phone line, complete client's intake and provide immediate response accordingly.Provide culturally meaningful case management and counselling support services for clients affected by gambling problems and/or BBV and/or other related issues and for those at risk and/or affected by COVID-19.Work collaboratively with significant others when relevant, with faith leaders and other service providers including people with lived experience and volunteers to improve people's health outcomes and support networks.Provide efficient and accountable services and contribute to quantitative and qualitative reporting, materials, and delivery standards through timely and accurate use of the Penelope client information system to record all case work activity.Assist in the development and implementation of workforce development activities.If this role is what you are looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
