Embarking on an exciting growth journey within the Australian home services market, they are looking to grow existing product offerings as well as launch into new markets.
The Position Continually expanding via acquisition, the organisation's life cycle has evolved beyond operational performance to full integration of the business units and optimising systems and controls. The position of Group Senior Financial Accountant has been created to deliver improved financial accounting and provide greater reliability and governance. Given the benefits of a more cohesive accounting platform and accurate information, it's imperative the systems and reporting are robust and reliable. Working with a range of stakeholders and a cohesive finance team, this new position will have responsibility for:
Monthly & quarterly financial & cashflow reporting Ownership & key contributor to annual audit & preparation of statutory accounts Consolidations & eliminations for 14 entities, in accordance with parent company requirements GL, FA register & improving controls Payroll & employee entitlements & reconciliations Ensuring tax compliance, including FBT & GST Staff management & mentoring You A CA/CPA, you will have significant financial accounting experience gained in commerce and industry with in-depth knowledge of IFRS, most likely with a start in the profession. We're looking for an improvement oriented person with experience in a best practice environment, who can implement systems and processes with the aim of automating and streamlining the accounting function, and achieving best practice. Going beyond the 'numbers', you'll be a people person, comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the best outcomes. Essential qualities include initiative, drive and action; a practical and adaptable person who can influence others and assist the business in achieving its objectives, whilst operating in a hands-on fashion.
