Beardwood Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter or Leading Hand Carpenter to join our growing team. Position: Carpenter / Leading Hand Carpenter As a Carpenter or Leading Hand Carpenter, you will play a key role in the successful execution of a range of projects. If you step into the Leading Hand role, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, decking, and formwork.Read and interpret building plans and technical drawings.Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to building codes and safety regulations.Maintain a clean and safe worksite.Leading Hand Carpenter Role (if applicable):
Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and apprentices.Coordinate daily activities and manage the workflow on-site.Ensure team members follow safety procedures and quality standards.Act as the point of contact for the project manager and clients on-site.Assist with job planning and scheduling.About You: Experience: 3+ years of experience as a carpenter, with some leadership or supervisory experience (for Leading Hand Carpenter).Skills: Excellent carpentry skills, with experience in both residential and commercial projects.Leadership (Leading Hand): Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a team, ensuring high-quality outcomes and a positive work environment.Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, team members, and subcontractors.Attention to Detail: Pride in delivering top-notch craftsmanship.Licensing: Must hold a current carpentry trade qualification and white card (or equivalent).Why Join Beardwood Pty Ltd?
