The RoleVentia are looking to engage a Carpenter to join our Department of Transport contract. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will see you perform a range of tasks associated with preventive maintenance and repairs on Department of Transport infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs, boat ramps, and maritime buildings along the coast. You will also be applying your trade skills to install, replace, and repair the integrity of facilities. This is a great opportunity if you like working out in the fresh air and enjoy the afternoon sea breeze.Whilst primarily working within the metro area, this role also offers the opportunity to travel to remote and rural areas of WA to perform work as required. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, safety-focused, and ready for their next challenge.This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 07:00 am - 03:30 pm with 1x RDO per month.The pay rate for this position is $43.73 per hour plus overtime opportunities.Key duties, but not limited to:Responsible for completing maintenance and repair work on marine structuresCarry out general maintenance repairs and labouring as requiredEnsure inspection records are completed and maintained for required tasksRequirements:Carpentry Trade CertificateWA Drivers Licence – LRConstruction Induction / White CardConfident working on and around water (rivers, oceans, beaches etc)Experience in a similar role is highly regardedThe CompanyVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
