• You must be available to work from 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday.
About this work area As Carpenter Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Supporting to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market through securing high-quality carpentry and paintwork all throughout the store.
• Following work briefs to implement custom display solutions, including painting, tiling, floor laying, wall install and the building of complex furniture installations.
• Secure high quality, simple and cost-conscious results in the execution of work by using best practises and following routines.
• Assisting the Communication & Interior team with ad hoc tasks and to ensure the store is always in shape as new.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation of the carpentry workshop.
As a Carpenter Co-worker you are and/or you have: • A deep passion for quality, craftsmanship and home furnishings.
• A practical, hands-on mindset, where you show a strong willingness to get involved.
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can meet tight deadlines while upholding quality.
• Confident and safety-conscious when performing tasks such as painting, drilling, furniture installation and heavy lifting.
• Demonstrated ability to work innovatively and collaboratively with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
• Ideally, prior experience in carpentry, particularly in a commercial business context.
