Carlton School | School Principal Band A-4 Management - Schools (Education & Training) We are seeking an innovative and passionate educational leader to become part of the Port Augusta / Quorn Partnership in Port Augusta, leading Carlton School, Preschool and Port Augusta Children's Centre.  Carlton School is a category 1 Aboriginal School on the DfE index of disadvantage and caters for approximately 95 students from Preschool to year 9 with 93% Aboriginal students. The school is located within Port Augusta which is at the tip of the Spencer Gulf, 300km North of Adelaide. The school has views of the magnificent Flinders Ranges and opportunities for many outdoor activities.  The school has strong connections with Aboriginal families who represent several language groups yet consent to the teaching of Adnyamathanha by a respected cultural elder. Carlton focuses on culturally inclusive and responsive practises. Currently 87% of the students qualify as EALD.  Carlton Preschool and Port Augusta Children's Centre are located on site and are under the responsibility and management of the principal.  This position may qualify for Training and Development leave of one term after three years continuous service, in line with the South Australian School and Preschool Education Staff Enterprise Agreement 2024.  In addition to the salary, other financial incentives may apply depending on the site location: www.education.sa.gov.au/countryteaching.
