The team delivers a new grant funded program that aims to improve the lives of people living with Dementia and their carer/s, by increasing early access to Respite and support services.
The 3 day, 2 night retreats are held monthly for 6 people with a diagnosis of dementia and their carer/s.
The Carer Education Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of carer education sessions including person-centred and peer learning.
This role ensures continuity of support and contributes to creating a safe and warm environment for all participants.
Experience and/or qualifications in the delivery of carer support and group education sessions is required.About you:Either a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse or Clinical Qualification within the Health Sector including membership with the relevant Australian governing agency or association relevant to the discipline or Allied Health Assistant, Lifestyle Assistant or Personal Care Assistant and experience working with people with dementia and carers.Details of Appointment:Casual positionRetreat program hosted in Lancefield, VictoriaDependent on experience, as per EBA + Superannuation + access to salary packagingAbout CHRH:Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne.
