About this role We are seeking to appoint Carer Education facilitators on a casual basis in the Treehouse4Two Retreat Program team.
The team delivers a new grant funded program that aims to improve the lives of people living with Dementia and their carer/s, by increasing early access to Respite and support services.
The 3 day, 2 night retreats are held monthly for 6 people with a diagnosis of dementia and their carer/s.
The Carer Education Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of carer education sessions including person-centred and peer learning.
This role ensures continuity of support and contributes to creating a safe and warm environment for all participants.
Experience and/or qualifications in the delivery of carer support and group education sessions is required.
About you: Either a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse or Clinical Qualification within the Health Sector including membership with the relevant Australian governing agency or association relevant to the discipline or Allied Health Assistant, Lifestyle Assistant or Personal Care Assistant and  experience working with people with dementia and carers.
