Role Time Fraction

This position is a 1.0 FTE, with an attendance requirement of 5 days per week.
Hours of Work: 8:00 - 4:06pm - subject to change Attendance requirement up to 6 days during school vacations.
Performs and/or supervises tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice and school policy.
This may include the supervision and coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
Provides support to teachers and students that is beyond the routine support provided at education support class Level 1, range 1.
Within an educational program assists teachers with the coordination of the support function.
Undertakes medical intervention support tasks or other specialised student/teacher support roles that require specific training that must be updated from time to time.
Responsibilities The role requires a motivated individual willing to undertake the full range of administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of a secondary school.
The successful applicant will need to be multi-skilled, have a capacity to be flexible, and be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
The applicant must also have strong IT capacity and be proficient specifically in the use of Excel, Word and Google Suite (Workspace).
Responsibilities

Curriculum and Career Action Plan Development

Support the implementation of student Careers and Pathways programs as well as careers curriculum.
Support the Careers team with the implementation of subject selection, acceleration, distance education, including information processes and production of resources.

Counselling & other exit-related support:

Support with the Pathway Planning process which will include guidance and education around the VTAC/SEAS process; support interstate and overseas applications.
Ensure accurate and up to date records/databases are maintained for counselling, pathway planning, including archiving.
Assist Year 9-11 students to find information, make decisions and take action to build appropriate career pathways.
Independently complete and follow up destination data for students who have completed Year 12.
Attend regular meetings such as senior subschools, enrolment meetings, exit meetings and Student Wellbeing meetings as well as network meetings when required.
Support students who are in the Headstart program.

Morrisby Testing

Support with the planning, running and follow up of the Morrisby/Aptitude Assessments and interview process at Year 9, keeping accurate data for all students.

Work Experience

Support with the Work Experience process in conjunction with other relevant school leaders including supporting other school leaders to maintain a data base of employers suitable to support a Work Experience program.
Support other school leaders in the completion of administrative requirements for each Work Experience placement (prior to and during).

Other

Support the Careers team with careers-related queries, including information sessions and related events as needed.
Manage the use of and access to school resources and reference materials, including the updating of the google classroom site and Careers Tools program.
Respond responsively to student and staff enquiries (in person and via email) relating to Careers, subject selection, VET, Distance Education and Uni enhancement.
