Beaumont People is partnering with a renowned school in the vibrant Lower North Shore to support their search for a Careers Advisor .

Fixed-Term FT or PT opportunity, on-site role offering competitive benefits Minutes away from the train station / parking available Weekly Staff Wellbeing Sessions The Careers Advisor will offer guidance and information to assist students (Year 7 to 12) in exploring their educational and career pathways, crafting resumes, searching for jobs, and applying for employment or further studies.
Additionally, the Careers Advisor aids students in their decision-making by helping them recognise their strengths, interests, and potential opportunities.
This role also involves collaborating with parents, teachers, employers, community organisations, and training providers.

Key Responsibilities
Employ a positive psychology approach in career counselling to help students recognise their abilities, interests, and values.
Facilitate their understanding of the work environment and opportunities for further education and training.
Support students in making informed career decisions grounded in self-awareness and available options.
Equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to put their decisions into action.
Specific tasks and duties include:
Career Assessment and Planning Interviews Information Sessions & Events University Applications and Scholarships Job Applications TVET and Apprenticeships Pathways Professional Development Skills & Attributes
Experience in working in a career development field complementary to and in support of career education Graduate Certificate in Career Development (or equivalent) Demonstrated knowledge and skills in career counselling The Benefits
