The successful candidate will play an active role in the daily management of intensive care patients. The CMO will also assess ward patients, transport critically unwell patients internally, and be a key member of the rapid response team. With a focus on ongoing education, the CMO is encouraged to develop procedural skills and competencies, including participation in the onsite and external Continuing Medical Education activities.
Current registration with AHPRADemonstrated experience in critical care assessment and resuscitationDemonstrated clinical and procedural experience adequate to undertake the roles required of a critical care CMODemonstrated competency in caring for ventilated patientsCapacity to work on rotating roster and on call basisDemonstrated ability to prioritize workloadDemonstrated good professional communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary environmentPrevious minimum experience of 6 months in a Level 2 or higher Intensive Care Unit and 6 months of Anaesthetics experienceKnowledge or experience of the Private Health industryWho we are Centrally located between the shops and cafes of The Junction, and the rolling waves of Merewether Beach, Lingard is Newcastle's largest private hospital and offers the community access to the best surgical care in the region.
