This role is for a period of 12 months.What we can offer youCountry living with a meaningful career pathFlexible work practices (as appropriate to the position and negotiated with your manager)Corporate wellbeing programs, including the Fitness PassportOpportunities for learning and development, including in-house training with My Health Learning and the NSW Health RTOProfessional growth and accelerated career progressionWhere you'll be workingYou will be based at Bathurst Health Service, a part of the Western NSW Local Health District.Minimum Requirements:MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.Completion of at least two (2) postgraduate years of medical practice.Valid NSW Working with Children check.Cleared National Police check.Aged Care Check for Australian Government funded positions.To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy.You must take all reasonable care for yourself and others and comply with any reasonable instruction, policies and procedures relating to work health safety and wellbeing.To apply, please address the following Selection Criteria:Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and current authority to practice as a Medical Officer with the Medical Board of Australia.Clinical experience relevant to the specialty area.Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills applicable to Australian medical practice.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, under direction of a Consultant, and ability to recognise own clinical limitations and consult as required.Ability to equitably participate in the unit on-call roster with other medical practitioners as required and the ability to participate in a rotating roster including night duty.Demonstrated active participation in and commitment to quality assurance and improvement activities.Current licence to drive in NSW.Need more information?For role related queries or questions please contact Hannah Brennan via email or phone.Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious DiseasesAs you are applying for a Category A position, please read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2024_015.
