Our client, a large contract logistics business, is experiencing exponential growth and needs a warehousing guru to manage operations of their bulky goods warehouse and transport network across NSW.
The business operates both domestically and internationally across multiple locations providing end to end supply chains and logistics, innovative tech and automation.
Reporting to the COO, the NSW Warehouse Manager is a pivotal role in the organisation, facilitating the day-to-day efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering against stakeholder expectations within budgetary guidelines.
We are looking for someone with solid experience across 3PL logistics, inventory and ideally e-commerce, who operates from a continuous innovation mindset, someone hungry for success and career progression, a mentor to other staff, great communicator and someone with integrity and humility.
The ideal candidate offers leadership and operational expertise and experience generating maximum operational efficiency and optimisation across warehousing, transport, and safety in your previous roles.
This role is a stepping stone for the right candidate to Branch Manager or NSW State Manager so we are looking for someone motivated by results, driven to succeed, comfortable on the floor (supporting your team), in front of a customer (representing the business) or on weekly national calls with your peers (discussing operations, commercial and CI).
About you: Commercial and analytical focus with experience running a P&L. Client centric - focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal skills – able to communicate across all levels of the business and influence and motivate your team to deliver on projects, strategy and business objectives.
Experience in fleet management, (delivery and forklifts).
A positive hands-on person, collaborative and willing to get in and get your hands dirty to get the job done.
Proficient using a TMS, WMS and familiar with Microsoft office suite.
Chain of Responsibility qualifications highly regarded.
A history of developing and implementing new ideas, processes and systems and improved operations.
Minimum of 5+ years' experience managing a busy warehouse and leading and managing a high performing team.
Qualifications in logistics or supply chain preferred.
