Head of IT - Melbourne, Australia - Page Personnel Recruitment Description The role of Head of IT oversees infrastructure, service delivery, and managing technical support teams.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders, it develops, implements, and embeds ICT strategies, systems, projects, initiatives, and policies to support the organisation's objectives.
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of IT will be responsible for: Developing and implementing the company's technology strategy Aligning technology initiatives with business objectives Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies to enhance business operations Leading, mentoring and managing technology and spatial teams Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement Managing technology projects from inception to completion Overseeing the maintenance and security of the company's IT infrastructure Ensuring the reliability and performance of all technology systems Developing and managing the technology budget Managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers Optimising technology spending and investments Identifying, assessing and prioritising cyber security risks and implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures Conducting regular security audits, risk assessments and vulnerability assessments Defining and implementing best practice IT policies and procedures Defining and maintaining the IT Risk Register The successful applicant will ideally possess: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field A minimum of 10 years' experience in leading teams and managing IT systems in a complex ICT environment, including experience in a senior technology leadership role Demonstrated experience in managing IT infrastructure and services A strong understanding of current and emerging technologies Demonstrated experience in project management and IT service management Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements Strong people management, relationship and stakeholder management, and communications skills Experience presenting to Boards, sharing information with industry peers, and building relationships with external stakeholders Experience implementing an e Commerce platform Providing technology thought leadership and continuous improvement to ensure understanding and/or implementation of the latest technology trends and tools, that align with the business vision and strategy The ability to mentor and develop technical staff Strong decision making and written communication skills Demonstrated skills in contract administration and monitoring Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and agriculture sector is desirable Exposure working with Adobe Commerce is desirable #J-18808-Ljbffr
