Due to continuous and exciting growth, we're currently recruiting for multiple Disability Support Workers to join our team to support a client based in Warrnambool.
You'll be responsible for providing quality services and safeguards to our Participant with an emphasis on skill and capacity building to encourage independence and confidence for meaningful and active inclusion in society.
A day in the life as a Disability Support Worker with CareChoice, may see you supporting our Participant with:
Building on individual strengths and enabling Participants to reach their goals.
24-hour complex supports Supported Independent living Community access and transport Domestic and Personal care The hours of work available are 24:7 roster including weekday shifts, evening, and weekend shifts.
Penalty rates apply on weekends, Public Holidays, after 8pm and after 12 pm.
We are only offering Casual positions.
About you
As a passionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Worker, you'll have experience with providing quality care services, implementing behavioural strategy supports and building rapport with Participants.
You will need to come with:
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
Certificate IV in Disability Minimum 12 months experience working with clients that have complex care requirements Manual Handling experience (hoist) PEG Feeding experience (preferred, training provided) Previous experience working with ABI clients Valid Driver's Licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle Employment with CareChoice is subject to satisfactory background checks which include Professional References, Employee Working with Children Check, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
