About the role & where you'll be working: Germanus Kent House has been caring for the local Broome community since 2008. The aged care facility provides a high level of care, accommodation, and support to 55 residents. Our commitment is to enhance the lives of our residents through exceptional 24/7 care, choice in experience, and an atmosphere that exudes warmth and compassion. This position oversees both our Residential Care Facility, Home Care Team, and Respite Centre.
You'll be playing an important role in ensuring the compliant & effective delivery of person-centred services. We want people to feel safe, at home, and receive the best possible quality care.
We're looking for someone who can confidently manage a multidisciplinary team – Carers, Nurses, Allied Health, and Hospitality. More importantly, someone who is invested in coaching, performance management, upskilling, and rostering optimisation.
We'll also be asking you to: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations & safety standards Monitor & manage effective use of resources, and work within operational budgets Coordinate completion of funding tool documentation Identify & manage risks. Ensure accreditation standards are met & maintained Participate in recruitment & selection of staff About You You may be an experienced Care / Facility Manager, or have substantial registered nursing / clinical experience and are wanting to take that next step up.
With business acumen and great people management skills, you understand the ins and outs of customer service.
You've mastered the art of influencing & negotiation, and can confidently tackle / solve problems.
To be considered for this role, you'll need: Current AHPRA registration – Registered Nursing An in-depth understanding of aged care standards & regulations Financial & budgeting skills A genuine desire to develop & lead high performing teams Well-developed communication & interpersonal skills Compassion, patience, and resilience A recognised qualification in Infection Control or willingness to complete one How to Apply To express your interest, please apply with an up-to-date resume, and a cover letter outlining your experience / suitability.
