Cardiovascular Associates of Victoria Practice Manager The Cardiovascular Associates of Victoria (CVA) Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of CVA. The Practice Manager develops and carries out departmental and organizational goals and objectives in conjunction with the hospital's mission, values, and strategic plans. The Practice Manager is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and directing the activities of the clinic that fosters an environment of teamwork and collaboration amongst stakeholders. The position will work closely with administration and fellow leaders to ensure comprehensive care to patients that achieves safe, high-quality, and efficient outcomes.
Job Specific: Collaborates with Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on operational needs and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on clinical needs of practice management. Monitor clinic efficiency and flow by way of direct observation and data collection, and partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. (EF) Maintains support staff by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training employees within areas of ownership. (EF) Coaches, counsels, evaluates, and performance manages employees, to include advanced providers and physicians. (EF) Assists in the preparation of the department's operating and capital budgets and manages the operations of the department within the approved budget. (EF) Coordinates with CFO and Revenue Cycle Director to provide ongoing evaluation and process improvement of revenue cycle functions. (EF) Ensures effective OR and Cath Lab schedules are managed to provide exceptional patient care and meet business needs. (EF) Prepares practice and physician performance reports, provides analysis, and actively manages provider utilization reports. (EF) Measure and report key performance indicators to stakeholders, and adjust strategy, marketing, and clinic flow accordingly. (EF) Provides oversight to satellite clinic operations, to include collaboration with key stakeholders and hospital administrators, to ensure services are provided to satisfaction. (EF) Provides professional oversight and direction to nursing and advanced practice staff to ensure alignment with scope of practice guidelines. Works closely with the Medical Staff from all departments to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to quality patient care. Works closely with the Marketing team to effectively market the CVA Practice within the community and region. Participates in the recruitment of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Develops and promotes meaningful use of EHR and other IT platforms relating to the ongoing success of the organization. Communicates with IT team to ensure network operations, software, and hardware are working properly. Ensures compliance with rules and guidelines related to Federal, State, Payer, and other regulatory agencies and accrediting organizations. (EF) Maintains professional growth and development through attendance at seminars and workshops, participates in professional affiliations, and reviewing applicable, current literature. Participates in hospital committees, hospital-sponsored programs and activities, and civic community activities, as requested. Hospital: Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures. Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations. Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines. Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times. Preferred: Relevant advanced degrees or clinical background
EXPERIENCE Required: 10 years of healthcare experience with a minimum of 3 years management experience leading groups of 10 or more.
Preferred: Five years of direct multispecialty practice management experience leading groups of 30 or more.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Required: Communication and relationship skills necessary to collaborate with physicians, providers, and hospital personnel. Ability to empower and develop staff to share in decision making processes. Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets, email, calendars, and internet applications in a windows environment with Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Preferred: Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE)
