In order to support our rapidly growing population, we're growing our services and the complexity of our organisation. This includes adding a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our region.   Position Summary A Cardiologist is a full qualified and admitted Medical Doctor working in a hospital setting. This position will be factional/full time salaried position with limited right to private practice. This position will be involved in the education and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The Cardiologist will report to the Chief Medical Officer. The Cardiologist will: • Be part of the Senior Medical Team at BCH. • Provide inpatient care to medical patients within credentialed privileges granted. • Provide assessment services for patients attending the Emergency Department when required. • If employed in a salaried capacity provide outpatient services to referred patients. • Provide consultative and medical management support to other specialists. • Provide supervision and training to medical students, interns, registrars and other junior medical and nursing staff.
