Excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Technologists with strong communication, problem solving to join a leading health care provider in Newcastle, NSW.
Permanent Part-Time, 32 hours per week Salary Classification: Cardiac Technologist Grade 2 Year 1-3 Remuneration: $49.50 – 54.77 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options THE ROLE: The Cardiac Technologist is responsible for performing Echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients at Calvary Mater Newcastle (CMN) and provides preliminary reports on studies.
DUTIES: Compile interim reports for Cardiologist review.
Manage and prioritise workload in a high demand environment.
Perform cardiac echos whilst ensuring person centre care delivery.

ABOUT YOU: Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) or equivalent and current ASAR (Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry) accreditation as a fully qualified sonographer.
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent as per the award.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
Effectively communicate emergency findings to the Director of Cardiology or Cardiologist on call.
Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiographic studies and report finding as an interim report.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to transcribe data accurately.
