We are a close-knit group of Cardiac Physiologists working together in the disciplines of echocardiography, rhythm management, cardiac devices, and electrophysiology.
The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, catering to all the needs of our island population including cardiothoracic surgery and adult and paediatric cardiology with neonatal and adult intensive care.
As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

The Role:
Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate optimal patient management through the provision of timely Echocardiograms and provisional reports.
Assist in the coordination of the Echocardiography service and service development.
Contribute to the training and supervision of level 1-2 Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiology Registrars in the field of Echocardiography.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022 You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.

Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution, and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
Undergraduate or post-graduate tertiary qualification in Echocardiography.
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
Desirable criteria:
Eligibility for accreditation in Australia by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
Experience in paediatric echocardiography.
At least 3 years postgraduate experience.
Current Driver's Licence.
