Full-time or Permanent part-time opportunity! About the Role Pindara Private Hospital has a great opportunity for an experienced nurse to work in a dual position of Level 2: Clinical Nurse/Clinical Nurse Educator in our Cardiac Medical Ward.
This direct dual leadership role will see you leading and supporting our front-line team members and reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager.
You will be facilitating the department's training and clinical competency assessments, as well as providing education to staff and supporting ongoing professional development and upskilling staff.
This role will involve, but is not limited to:
Acting as a professional resource and demonstrating broad knowledge in all facets of caring for patients to ensure the highest level of nursing careSupervising and supporting all staff within the unitDelegation of patient care as appropriate with skill mix and delivering direct patient careSupporting the NUM in completing assessments, appraisals, audits, and other tasks that keep the facility up to date with the Australian Standards of CareWorking with staff to maintain up-to-date knowledge and best practices in cardiac and nursing practicesBeing confident and willing to liaise with medical practitioners and develop good working relationships with the wider hospital communityEngaging and producing education sessions/learning activities and assessments to assess competency of staff membersIn this role, you will have access to an outstanding working environment, modern facilities, innovative education programs, and a supportive management team.
Essential Skills and Experience Current registration with AHPAMinimum 3 years post-graduate experience in cardiac nursingCurrent knowledge of ECG interpretation/analysis is essentialHighly desirable experience in nursing education and teachingA passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performanceAlready obtained or working towards post-graduate qualifications in critical care/cardiovascular nursing will be highly regardedOverall, you are a passionate role model who takes a kind and positive approach towards education delivery.
You will be innovative and flexible to help facilitate the learning of a dynamic team across our Cardiac Medical Team!
Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
(QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4).
