Carbon Farming Advisor

About the Role: LVI Associates is proud to support a leading environmental and sustainable agriculture firm in Queensland in their search for a passionate and knowledgeable Carbon Farming Advisor. This pivotal role will involve advising and implementing carbon farming initiatives, aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices and reducing carbon footprints.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement carbon farming projects in collaboration with agricultural stakeholders. Provide expert advice on carbon sequestration methods, greenhouse gas emission reductions, and sustainable farming practices. Conduct detailed assessments and analyses of carbon farming opportunities and potential impacts. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation related to carbon farming initiatives. Stay informed on the latest research, technologies, and legislation pertaining to carbon farming and sustainable agriculture. Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, landowners, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on carbon farming benefits and techniques. Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field. Proven experience in carbon farming, carbon sequestration, or sustainable agriculture. Strong understanding of carbon markets, carbon credits, and related regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences effectively. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Passion for environmental sustainability and sustainable agriculture practices.
