GLT Car Centre is a family-owned business in the heart of Capalaba, maintaining European vehicles for over 25 years.
We are seeking a trade qualified and experienced light vehicle mechanic to join our friendly team.
Must have experience in logbook servicing, diagnostics, and all aspects of repairs.
You will be part of a local family business working full time (40 hours a week).
Salary is AUD55,000 per annum.Key Responsibilities:Maintain all aspects of a vehicle to relevant transport legislation and standardsMaintain all aspects of equipmentPerform fault diagnostics to detect mechanical and electrical faultsTest drive and/or operate equipment to ensure repair has been completed correctlyDismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and check partsRepair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as neededEnsure all hand tools and equipment are safe to use and stored correctly in a clean conditionComplete all records and paperwork accurately as requiredDiagnose and test parts with the assistance of computersCarry out regular service and maintenance requirements on all makes and models including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-upsEnsure maintenance, servicing, and repair requirements are met to ensure vehicles are up to roadworthy standardsTo be successful we require the following:Full Australian work rightsAvailable to start ASAP and able to commit to the role once confirmedAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamAt least Certificate II in automotive mechanics2+ years working in the field desirablePrevious experience in European cars requiredCurrent manual driver's licenseMust speak English and have excellent communication skillsBe clean and tidy in the work environmentBe motivated and able to achieve targetsIf you are a hard worker and looking for a secure role Monday to Friday, we would love to hear from you!Job Type: Full-timePay: $74,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Capalaba, QLD 4157: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Automotive: 2 years (Required)Licence/Certification:Driver Licence (Required)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In personExpected Start Date: 01/10/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
